Cheesy Garlic Bread

Buns sliced, brushed with garlic-herb butter and topped with cheese, baked till bubbly. Side or stand-alone snack.

Ingredients

  • 3Bread bun or baguette
  • 3 tbspButter, softened
  • 1 tspGarlic powder
  • 1 tspMixed herbs
  • 2 tbspCheese spread
  • 1/4 tspBlack pepper
  • a pinchSalt
  • 1/2 cupMozzarella, grated

Method

    Mix cheese spread, black pepper, mixed herbs, salt and garlic powder.

    Slice each bun horizontally into 2 layers. Spread softened butter on the cut sides.

    Top with the cheese-herb mixture and grated mozzarella.

    Preheat oven to 220°C for 10 minutes. Bake the garlic bread at 220°C for 6–7 minutes until cheese melts and the top is golden.

    Slice into batons. Serve hot.
