Vanilla base with rum-soaked raisins — the adult dessert flavour. Use orange juice in place of rum for a kid-friendly version.

Ingredients

  • 500 mlVanilla ice-cream base
  • 2 tbspRaisins
  • 1/3 cupRum (or orange juice for kid-friendly)
  • 1/4 tspRum essence

Method

    Soak raisins in rum (or orange juice) for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.

    Drain the raisins (save the soaking liquid for cocktails).

    Fold soaked raisins and rum essence into the vanilla base.

    Freeze 8 hours.
