Paneer Tikka Pizza

The Indian-favourite restaurant pizza — tandoori-marinated paneer with onions and capsicum on a herby tomato base, topped with stretchy mozzarella.

Ingredients

  • 1 batchPizza dough (recipe above)
  • 3/4 cupPizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cupsMozzarella cheese, grated
  • 200 gPaneer, cubed
  • 3 tbspHung curd
  • 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  • 1 tspTandoori masala
  • 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspKasuri methi
  • 1 tspLemon juice
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 1 tbspOil
  • 1 smallOnion, sliced
  • 1 smallCapsicum, sliced
  • 1 tspOregano (topping)
  • 1/2 tspChilli flakes (topping)

Method

    Mix hung curd, ginger garlic paste, tandoori masala, red chilli, kasuri methi, lemon juice and salt. Coat paneer cubes; rest 15 minutes.

    Heat oil in a pan and toss the marinated paneer for 3-4 minutes till lightly charred.

    Preheat oven to 230°C.

    Roll the pizza dough into a 9-inch round. Spread pizza sauce evenly with a 1 cm border.

    Scatter half the mozzarella, then the paneer tikka, onion slices and capsicum strips. Cover with remaining cheese.

    Sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes. Bake 8-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.

    Rest 1 minute, slice into 8 wedges and serve hot.
