Rasmalai Cheesecake Shake

A fusion shake — rasmalai milk, kesar and cardamom blended with fruit base. The Indian-mithai-meets-American-milkshake hybrid.

Ingredients

  • 3 scoopsFruit punch shake base (see recipe)
  • 2–3 scoopsVanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cupKesar (saffron) syrup
  • 1/2 tspCardamom (elaichi) powder
  • a few dropsOrange-yellow food colour
  • 1/2 tspKesar essence
  • 1Rasmalai patty (garnish)

Method

    Blend the fruit base, vanilla ice cream, kesar syrup, cardamom powder, colour and kesar essence into a thick frothy shake.

    Pour into a tall glass.

    Top with a small rasmalai patty floated on top, a dusting of cardamom and a sprinkle of slivered pistachios. Serve with a wide straw + spoon.
