Cheesy Pull-Apart Bread

Paav dough cut into strips, brushed with herb-garlic-cheese butter and stacked into a tin. Tear and dip into soup or pasta sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 batchEggless paav dough (see recipe)
  • 4 tbspSoftened butter
  • 1 tspOregano
  • 1 tspChilli flakes
  • 1/4 tspGaram masala
  • 1 cupMozzarella, grated

Method

    Make the eggless paav dough.

    Mix the softened butter with oregano, chilli flakes and garam masala.

  3. 3

    Roll the dough into a rectangle. Brush with the herb butter. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella.

    Cut the dough into long strips. Stack the strips into a greased loaf tin standing on edge — they should look like book pages.

    Bake at 180°C for 35–40 minutes. Cool 5 minutes, then turn out and serve hot — diners pull apart the layers.
