Overnight Oats with Berries

No-cook breakfast — rolled oats soaked overnight in milk and yoghurt with honey and chia, ready to grab in the morning. Top with fresh berries and nuts.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupRolled oats
  • 3/4 cupMilk
  • 1/4 cupYoghurt
  • 2 tspHoney
  • 1 tbspChia seeds
  • 1/4 tspVanilla essence
  • a pinchSalt
  • 1/2 cupFresh berries (mixed)
  • 1 tbspAlmonds, sliced
  • 1/2Banana, sliced

Method

    In a jar or sealable container combine oats, milk, yoghurt, honey, chia seeds, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Stir well.

    Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours (overnight is ideal).

    In the morning the oats will have absorbed the liquid and softened. Stir gently — add a splash of milk if too thick.

    Top with fresh berries, sliced banana and almond slices. Drizzle with extra honey if you like. Eat cold straight from the jar.
