Ingredients
- 1 shellBaked sweet or chocolate tart/pie shell
- 1 1/2 cupsCrumbled chocolate cake
- 1/4 cupChocolate truffle (ganache)
- 2 tspCrushed walnuts (optional)
- as neededWhipped cream or vanilla ice cream, to serve
Method
- 1
In a bowl combine the crumbled chocolate cake, slightly warmed chocolate truffle and walnuts. Mix with a fork until it clumps like wet sand — there should be no dry crumbs.
- 2
Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the baked pie shell — the firmer you press, the cleaner the slice.
- 3
Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes. The top should look glossy and a touch crackled.
- 4
Cool for 5 minutes — the centre will firm up but stay fudgy. Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
